U-8 Referee | The purpose of this course is to teach entry-level referee volunteers to officiate in younger players’ short-sided games (U-6 and U-8) in accordance with AYSO principles. The course constitutes the training portion of the certification requirements for an AYSO U-8 Official. | 3 Hours | Prerequisite:

Regional Referee | The purpose of this course is to train entry-level referee volunteers in the basic skills required to officiate in AYSO matches in accordance with AYSO (FIFA) Laws and AYSO National Rules and Regulations. The emphasis is on younger players’ shortsided games (U-6, U-8, U-10, and U-12). The course constitutes the training portion of the certification requirements for an AYSO Regional Referee. | 5.5 Hours | Prerequisite:

* Must be at least 12 years old

Intermediate Referee | The purpose of this course is to train Basic Referees in all aspects of refereeing to develop skills that will allow the referee to officiate soccer matches that are more physically demanding and challenging under the AYSO (FIFA) Laws and AYSO National Rules and Regulations. | 7.5 Hours | Prerequisite:

* AYSO's Safe Haven
* Concussion Training
* Must be at least 14 years old
* Referee at least 25 games with a minimum of 5 at the 12U level.

Advanced Referee | The purpose of this course is to train Intermediate Referees in all aspects of refereeing to develop skills that will allow the referee to officiate most AYSO soccer matches under the AYSO (FIFA) Laws and AYSO National Rules and Regulations. | 7 hours 20 minutes | Prerequisite:
* Volunteer Form
* AYSO's Safe Haven
* Concussion Training
* Must be at least 16 years old
* Referee at least 50 games with a minimum of 10 at the 14U level and 5 as AR at the 14U level.
* Pass Fitness Test
* Complete a minimum of 5 service units |
National Referee | The purpose of this course is to train Advanced Referees in all aspects of refereeing to develop skills that will allow the referee to successfully officiate U-16 and U-19 AYSO soccer matches under the AYSO (FIFA) Laws and AYSO National Rules and Regulations. | 15.5 Hours

* Referee at least 100 games with 25 in either 16U or 19U, 15 in 19U, and 10 as an AR in 19U.
