COVID-19 is still at large, and we all need to be vigilnt to keep kids moving safely. Fall of 2020 brought many changes to the field, including the introducton of team 'pods.' By keeping teams separate and focusing on in-team skirmishes, we reduce contacts for each player. When you consider all of the people who support each player, the effect is exponential in reducing risk of infection and spread. This is how we will begin Fall 2021, as we support our community in a monumental effort to curb the spread of COVID-19 Delta.

Here are great resources for all of our players and families to review.
We will be practicing in team pods this season. Within pods, coaches control practices by setting up safety cones where each player can drop their gear, remove their mask, and drink their water. Players are expected to wear their mask onto the field until they arrive at their designated cone.
Parents are asked to either walk the field or remain in their car to reduce the crowd size on the field. Coach volunteers are able to be on the field with their kids - if you would like to volunteer as a head coach or assistant coach, please sign up in your hiloayso.org account or during your player registration.
