Birth Year and Season Matrix - Hilo AYSO Region 274 Age Divisions

Designations given to divisions have recently changed.  The previous designation of  U8 has changed to 8U. This change is a result of the way the divisions are being interpreted.  Previously U8 meant "under 8".  The new 8U means "8 and under".   

To determine the division your player will participate in, subtract the birth year from the latter year in the season.  For example, if your player was born in 2013 you would take the following steps to determine the correct division they will participate in the 2020/21 season.  

1)  2020/2021 Season - Use the latter of the two years in the season (2020)      
2)  Subtract the birth year from the latter year in the season ( 2020 - 2013 =7 )
3)  The resulting 7 would put this player in the 8U (8 and under) division.
